The use of QStar HSM’s mediacopy feature automatically creates a duplicate copy of selected archive volumes for offline and offsite disaster prevention. In addition, older data sets that are infrequently accessed can also be taken offline to a deep archive.

QStar HSM supports a range of security features to meet regulatory or legal obligations, including WORM technology, which prevents the deliberate or accidental modification of data and provides and audit trail infrastructure for reporting purposes. Options are available for data encryption, digital signature and data retention, which provide added data security and integrity.

eDiscovery can be a critical solution for compliance and can be easily integrated with QStar HSM Archive Manager allowing key word searches of the entire archive.
