QStar Technologies Announces the Release of CD/DVD Master, product, including UDF Session at Once support.
A new product release allowing CD/DVD mastering in ISO9660 and UDF formats.
Milan, Italy, 14th March 2002
QStar, a leading storage solution provider, today announced it’s CD/DVD Master product providing users with the ability to create industry standard ISO9660 and UDF format CD/DVD’s.
QStar allows the writing of data to CD/DVD media for data storage, or data distribution in industry standard ISO 9660 and UDF formats. By including session at once support, where a session of data is written to the CD/DVD media, but the session is not closed, more data may be added to the media before closing it. A wide range of CD/DVD jukeboxes from most major manufacturers are supported. QStar’s CD/DVD Master allows CD’s and DVD’s to be mastered for distribution, or by creating single mounted volumes the media can be dynamically added to sets within the jukebox for efficient data management, where each CD or DVD is seen as a sub-directory of the main set. When using sets, the directory structure and frequently accessed data is cached on magnetic disk to provide improved performance for the more demanding applications.
